Product overview
Tappet Stop Noise is an engine-oil additive intended to improve lubrication at the hydraulic tappets, the components that automatically adjust valve clearance as an engine runs. Audible tappet noise, particularly on start-up or at idle, is often a sign that these components are not receiving consistent lubrication and hydraulic pressure.
Added to the existing motor oil, the treatment is also compatible with toothed belts that run in oil, a design used in some engines' timing systems. It suits both petrol and diesel engines, including those fitted with a diesel particulate filter, but is not intended for motorcycles with a wet clutch.
