Pricing
Simple, published hire pricing
Two ways to hire, depending on who you are. Every hire is subject to approval and a signed vehicle-hire agreement.
Public & External Vehicle Hire
Minimum charge: $75.00 + GST ($86.25 including GST)
- Available to individuals, businesses and partner workshops
- Every additional day costs $25 + GST
- Every driver must hold a current full New Zealand driver licence
- Vehicle availability is not guaranteed
- Every hire requires approval and a signed vehicle-hire agreement
PSM Repair Customers
Customers whose own vehicle is genuinely booked with PSM Workshop for servicing, diagnosis or repairs pay one flat courtesy-car fee for the period reasonably required to complete their approved workshop work. The three-day minimum does not apply.
A current full New Zealand driver licence is required — no exceptions for repair customers.
Bond & insurance
What the bond does and does not cover
$500.00 refundable security bond
The security bond is held before collection and released after the vehicle has been returned on time, refuelled as agreed, inspected and found to have no new damage, missing items, excessive cleaning requirements or outstanding charges.
$1,000.00 insurance excess
The $500.00security bond is separate from the renter's insurance excess liability. If the vehicle is damaged, stolen or involved in an incident, the renter may remain liable for up to the applicable $1,000.00 insurance excess or another amount permitted under the signed hire agreement.

Verify your licence and complete the agreement
Every proposed driver must present a current full New Zealand driver licence. Once approved, the hire charges and bond are paid and the vehicle-hire agreement and condition report are completed.

Collect and drive
Collect the vehicle from PSM Workshop in Ellerslie and return it at the agreed time and fuel level.

Full New Zealand driver licence required
Every driver must hold and present a current full New Zealand driver licence. Learner, restricted and overseas licences are not accepted. Only drivers verified, approved and named in the signed agreement may drive.
